Julian brings his passion for running and footwear to Ballarat after spending several years as Manager of The Running Company – Geelong, where he learned the technical components of running footwear and developed a love for customer service. His running career really began in 2008 when he was inspired by a good mate running the Melbourne Marathon. Being the competitive beast that he is, three weeks later he ran Portland 3-Bays Marathon and within a year he had completed the Melbourne Marathon in under 2:30. Julian later turned his attention to ultra marathons winning the 2011 You Yangs 50km and the 2011 Great Ocean Walk 100km events. In 2015, he won his favourite race – The Great Ocean Road Marathon – and finished third at the Senshu International Marathon in Osaka, Japan.
Brianne joined Ballarat after serving as the assistant store manager at The Running Company – Geelong. She has a degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition at Deakin University and experience in the health industry. Bri was recruited to the running industry having been a customer in Geelong where her technical knowledge of footwear and medical background proved an enormous asset. A lifetime runner, Bri has recently begun to enjoy the competitive side of the sport after running for the Geelong Region in the XCR’15 season. She won the 5km event at the Lara fun run and returned a PB of 18:40 at the 2015/16 AV Country Championships. She has run half marathons in Portland and Santa Barbara, USA and the Great Ocean Road.
